Weidmuller’s 8-, 16- and 24-port copper/fiber managed Ethernet switches provide robust Ethernet management capabilities. Equipped with a full range of standard features, the switches enable comprehensive visibility into industrial Ethernet networks by generating statistics such as data rate, throughput, and the number of error frames being received. Status information is available through a Web-browser. Switches also feature a thin form factor along a DIN rail to accommodate today’s smaller control panels and cabinets.

Switch supports SNMP (simple network management protocol), allowing communications with network switches in a standardized way to request status information and set configurations. It also provides complete network visibility, allowing the monitoring of multiple switches at the same time through one application.

Switches feature RapidRing redundancy. If a break occurs in the fiber ring, the switches identify an alternate path for the signal in less than 300 ms. They also provide the ability to develop virtual LANs, allowing the creation of sub-domains to separate network elements without having to create and manage separate physical networks. Quality of Service features (QoS) the assignment of different priorities to traffic within the network, preventing a breakdown of network operations.

All switches are space-efficient, using only 44 mm of DIN-rail space; feature a rugged aluminum enclosure; and have a -40 to 75
