As part of an effort by Rockwell Automation to ensure that enhancements to product updates occur in a consistent and coordinated manner, the company simultaneously released upgrades and enhancements for the following products: RSView Enterprise Series (designed for use with ViewAnyWare products to provide a common development environment and integrated architecture for application reuse); RSLogix 5/500 (ladder logic programming), RSBizWare (planning, scheduling, and historian applications), and RSMacc (automated maintenance management). Each of these applications use the Rockwell Software FactoryTalk platform for real-time sharing of production data across the plant floor and throughout the enterprise. Included in the release is support for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition and Windows XP Service Pack 2, which includes security upgrades to the Microsoft Windows operating system.

“Tight integration among the products makes a coordinated product release all the more valuable in that enhancements to one application directly benefit others in the product line,” says Kevin Roach, vice president of software, Rockwell Automation.
