Costa Mesa, Calif. — To locate its corporate headquarters closer to its two remaining, primary business units, Rockwell International will join its Rockwell Automation subsidiary in Milwaukee, Wis., by the end of 1999. The parent company plans to move into a different downtown Milwaukee site than Rockwell Automation. Rockwell International’s move from Costa Mesa, Calif., follows the 1998 sale of its last California-based division. The move also brings Rockwell International closer to its other main business, avionics supplier Rockwell Collins (Cedar Rapids, Ia.).
