The 18th annual Automation Fair, sponsored by Rockwell Automation, is Nov. 11 and Nov. 12 at the Anaheim Convention Center. More than 8,000 industry leaders and vendors are expected to attend two days of presentations on automation solutions and industry insights.

“While this year has been extremely challenging, we can help our customers prepare for the economic recovery by showing them how to capitalize on their automation investments through innovative solutions,” said Keith Nosbusch, chairman and CEO, Rockwell Automation.

Company executives will focus on three major themes that are top-of-mind for manufacturing leaders today:

Plant-wide optimization : Manufacturers continue to converge factory controls and information technology driven by productivity, globalization, innovation and sustainability. Rockwell Automation will address how information-driven, plant-wide optimization will change manufacturing and production processes in the short and long term, and position companies for an economic recovery.

Machine builder performance : A scalable architecture is a key differentiator that helps machine builders improve productivity while reducing their total cost to design, develop and deliver innovative machines for optimal performance.

Sustainable production : Strategic energy management is an important element of sustainable production. Rockwell executives, customers, the U.S. Department of Energy and other experts will share innovative approaches to better manage and reduce industrial energy costs while supporting their environmental and safety objectives.

In addition to the customer-focused Automation Fair event, Rockwell Automation will bring together industry journalists and analysts for Manufacturing Perspectives, a global media forum where the leading news topics in manufacturing technology and automation are discussed. The forum on Nov. 10 will include panel discussions with customers, industry analysts and Rockwell Automation executives. Jeremy Leonard, an economist with the MAPI Manufacturers Alliance, also will speak about the impact that global competition and innovation have on manufacturing.
