Rugged computer in head-on crash!

She didn't have much hope for the computer, but she blew off the broken glass fragments, and fired it up. The only damage she found was a grass stain on the plastic!

The Xplore Technologies’ tablet PC has been put to the ultimate crash test — and passed. Police Office Cari Lurdrosky of the Cleveland Police Department, currently assigned to the Mobile Support Unit
Recently, one of Officer Lurdrosky’s zone cars was involved in a horrible head-on collision. The interior was demolished, and the entire dashboard was ripped out of the car. No part of the car was undamaged. After putting on welder's gloves and sifting through broken glass and twisted metal, she discovered the vehicle's Xplore mobile data computer (MDC), which was still attached to a chunk of the dashboard, but had been placed in the trunk of the car, under a pile of crash debris.

Lurdrosky didn't have much hope for the computer, but she took it back to her vehicle, blew the broken glass fragments off of it, put it on her dock, and fired it up. The only damage she found was a grass stain on the plastic, from when the dashboard was ejected from the car and landed on a lawn, computer first. She cleaned the computer up (leaving the grass stain, as it gave the computer “a little character”), and put it back in service the same day.
