DA-138 ruggedized notebook computer from Dewetron Inc. includes the company’s proprietary SideHand battery power system to allow the unit to run indefinitely without an external power source. Batteries are hot-swappable and can be exchanged while the system is running on battery power. Computer also features a full-length, full-size PCI slot, making it suitable for a wide range of portable computing applications in aerospace, automotive, field and factory test, and environmental engineering. Based on a mini-ITX motherboard form factor, the DA-138 can be upgraded by replacing the motherboard. It includes a metal housing with high-impact rubber edges and corners, can operate in environments from -10 8C (14 8F) to 50 8C (122 8F), and meets NEMA 32 standards.
