LaserLinc’s TLAser1240 scanning laser micrometer is a single-axis diameter gauge that measures diameter, height, or width up to 9.1-in. (231mm) and is designed for use in industries such as metal, glass, wire and cable, and plastics and rubber extrusion. For metals and glass, the transmitter and receiver components can be separated to keep away from moving product or equipment, as well as heat sources. Features include the ability to measure any material, and has the ability to provide 1,600 measurements per second. It has a separate transmitter, receiver, and rigid mounting rail that can mount in any orientation. It uses two units together to get dual-axis (XY) inspection, or three for three-axis diameter and accurate ovality measurement. It integrates with a human-machine interface (HMI) using an Ethernet connection for process monitoring and control. It also integrates with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) using a processor and industrial communications such as EtherNet/IP.
