Pleasanton, CA —A semiconductor automation company in Fremont, CA, hired Bosch Rexroth Corp. to provide it with precision linear motion solutions. The company, which asked to remain anonymous for proprietary reasons, makes automation equipment for semiconductor, flat panel display, and related industries and will receive the equipment from Bosch Rexroth’s Technology Center West in Pleasanton, CA. The company will receive Ball Rail linear motion guides with cleanroom greases and precision rolled ball screws.

“When we entered the relationship, our customer was in the midst of an aggressive cost-reduction program which we were able to support by meeting their cost models and products improvement goals,” says key account manager at the Technology Center West, Lisa Cavolina. “Bosch Rexroth has capabilities all around the world, so we are providing engineering services, product samples, and testing from both California and our Charlotte, NC, facility, while Bosch Rexroth in Asia supplies the components and local support for the customer’s manufacturing located there,” Cavolina says.
