1FT7 family is a line of high-performance servomotors for machine tool CNC interpolation, production machine web handling and other demanding motion control applications. Courtesy: SiemensSiemens' 1FT7 line of servomotors  are designed for machine tool CNC interpolation, production machine web handling and other demanding motion control applications. Short design and 4x overload capacity provides short machine cycles and high dynamic response. This design enables the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or end-user to exchange the encoder in the field without encoder alignment. High-resolution encoders, currently up to 22-bit, enable these servos to become highly precise motion control system components. Incorporated Drive-CliQ nameplate and digital encoder interface simplifies start-up or replacement, allowing the drive to read all that data from the electronic nameplate stored in the encoder system. The drive automatically recognizes the motor and optimizes the parameterization accordingly.
