Enterprise systems supplier QAD struck an agreement this week with Plante & Moran PLLC , a public accounting and management consulting firm specializing in the automotive and medical device industries.

The vendors will consult with companies looking to gain deeper insight into existing supply chains, and better manage global networks.

Plante & Moran, already a consultant for several QAD clients, will specifically focus on helping Japanese suppliers open and manage operations in North America, and assisting companies with merger & acquisition and divestiture activities.

QAD’s full line of technology solutions, including QAD Enterprise Applications 2007, help companies in the automotive, food & beverage, consumer products, electronics, industrial products, and life sciences streamline their supply chains and integrate closely with suppliers and distributors. This partnership will help companies solve their complex technology challenges while strengthening their communication and raising visibility into the full supply chain.

“QAD solutions are ideal for the automotive and life sciences industry,” says Duane Kotsen, VP of QAD Global Services. “We’re helping hundreds of customers streamline their operations and reduce inventory costs. Our partnership with Plante & Moran is a natural fit as they share our vision for the ideal supply chain—what we call ‘the Perfect Lean Market’ for manufacturing—and helping companies become more efficient.”
