Siemens' PM240-2 230v single and 3-phase AC power modules are designed for Sinamics G120 drives. Courtesy: Siemens.The 230 V 3-phase line by Siemens is designed to extend the use of the company's PM240-2 power modules. They have a smaller footprint and higher power density and these power modules can be mounted side-by-side or extended out to the rear of the cabinet with the heat sink. When used with the optional external mounting bracket, PM240-2 power modules achieve an IP55 (NEMA 12) seal. These power modules come with connectors on both motor and cable sides, removable terminals, and motor resistors for commissioning and maintenance. PM240-2's overall frame size is reduced with higher power density ranges. The PM240-2 line also features a variable speed fan control to run devices based upon actual conditions. The PM240-2 power modules can be used with with general-purpose and servo-drive styles and has equipment options include braking resistors, input reactors, output reactors, and sine-wave filters.
