The nuclear safety and seismic application qualification was based on EPRI TR-107330 under and audited quality management program meeting the requirement of 10CFR50 Appendix B, NQA-1, and 10CFR21.

Control applications in nuclear facilities are numerous, and the YS1700 is applicable to many of them including; feed water control, feed water heater, heater drain control, heat exchanger temperature control and many other flow, level and pressure applications.

The YS1700 features include dual CPUs with automatic fail over, which provides display and manual control capability if an abnormality occurs in one of the CPUs. Other features include a hard manual backup, battery free memory backup, and backwards compatibility with all previous YS control products.
