Following the introduction of its line of industrial Ethernet switches and Optolinx media converters, Aaxeon has added a new model into the line of SNMP-managed fiber Ethernet switches. GEN-5509 is an 8-port 10/100TX + 1-port 100FX managed Ethernet switch that features support for IEEE 802.3/802.3u; store-and-forward switching architecture; IP security; 10/100, full/half duplex, MDI/MDI-X auto-sensing; rate limiting; SNMP/Telnet/Console/Web management. Also included: port-based VLAN / 802.1 Q Tag VLAN; double VLAN tagging (Q in Q); LACP; IEEE 802.1p class of service and provide port base, tag base and type of service priority method; IGMP with query mode for multi media application; port mirroring; 100 V ac to 240 V ac input + 12 V dc input from terminal block; optional -48 V dc available; and proprietary ring support, in addition to spanning tree/rapid spanning tree.
