Hilscher North America’s netX system-on-chip (SoC) is designed for industrial control products that require built-in network connectivity. With available network stacks, netX can be master or slave for all major industrial Ethernet and field bus technologies. Built-in peripherals include 3-UARTs, USB port, color LCD controller, real-time clock, A/D converter, I2C interface, SPI, and status LEDs. Applications can be developed in Linux, Microsoft Windows CE, Hilscher Real-Time-Kernel rcX (a real-time OS), and soon with Wind River VxWorks. SoC is suitable for most network enabled control products including I/O blocks, drives, HMIs, PLCs, scales, bar-code readers, and network gateways. It can also be used as a network coprocessor.
