The Rockwell Automation Safety Maturity Index online tool measures a company’s performance in safety culture, compliance processes and procedures, and capital investments in safety technologies. The online software tool was designed to help companies understand current level of safety performance and the steps needed to improve safety and profitability.

Rockwell Automation said:

  • Culture is the measurement of behavioral aspects of a company, including values, priorities, attitudes, incentives, and beliefs.
  • Compliance is the measurement of procedural aspects of a company, and includes environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and engineering policies and procedures, indicating whether the company has implemented policies and procedures that ensure compliance with appropriate standards and safety procedures.
  • Capital is the measurement of technical aspects of a company. Adoption of current machinery standards and contemporary technologies is shown to improve safety and productivity.
