Maplesoft Maple 15 offers over 270 new mathematical functions, thousand enhancements to existing algorithms.


MapMaplesoft’s Maple 15lesoft has released a substantial updated of its flagship product, Maple, the technical computing software for mathematicians, engineers, and scientists. With over 270 new mathematical functions and over a thousand enhancements to existing algorithms, customers can solve more complex problems faster than ever before.

Maple 15 offers highly efficient fundamental operations, sophisticated algorithms for advanced operations, and numerous options to fully leverage the power of multi-core computers. It can also compute symbolic solutions to differential equations that no other system can handle, and now solves an unprecedented 96% of the benchmark standard for differential equations, the company said.

“We know they face challenging problems every day, from designing the Mars Exploration Rovers to teaching the fundamentals of calculus. We are proud that the improvements in Maple 15 will make an important contribution to their success,” said Laurent Bernardin, Executive Vice-President and Chief Scientist, Maplesoft.

With Maple 15, users can work with large datasets and create even more compelling interactive applications using the new data table. With the new variable manager, they can gain greater control over their Maple sessions, quickly assessing the state of their computations. Customers can also take advantage of the latest in interactive Clickable Math tools, including over 40 new mini-demonstrations for exploring and illustrating common mathematical concepts.
