Solon, OH— Swagelok Co. announced Aug. 7 that it has acquired Kenmac Ltd. (Isle of Man, U.K.). A privately held manufacturer of high-quality instrumentation valves and manifolds, pressure regulators, process interface valves, and piping products, Kenmac employs about 130 people. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Swagelok says the acquisition broadens its portfolio of high-quality products for the oil and gas, chemical, and other process industries and leverages the company’s global distributor network. Kenmac’s products, such as regulators, high-pressure needle valves, distribution manifolds, root valves, block and bleed valves and monoflanges, will complement Swagelok’s offerings, and will be available through Swagelok’s network of independent sales and service centers worldwide.

‘We’re excited about this acquisition because Kenmac’s products are such an excellent fit with Swagelok’s existing product offering,” says Arthur Anton, Swagelok’s president and COO. “Every bit as important is the similarity in the values and culture of the two organizations. Combining our resources and capabilities will ensure more complete solutions for fluid system customers worldwide.’

Robert Hastings, who will retain his position as Kenmac’s managing director, adds that, ‘This acquisition opens up Swagelok’s world-class industrial distribution network to our products, so we can continue growing employment and our manufacturing base on the Isle of Man.’

Swagelok develops and manufactures of fluid system component technologies for the research, analytical instrumentation, process instrumentation, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, power, petrochemical, and semiconductor industries.
