The LC-100 improves on a basic technology

The LevelCom LC-100 Liquid Level Computer from TMS (Technical Marine Services) provides a robust, reliable, and compact unit that gives you the capability to manage, monitor, and control liquids in any shape tank. The company says that its advanced bubbler technology combines a reliable sensing method with the data management and control of a PC.

Features include:
• Field configurable with multiple set points and specific gravity corrections;
• Integrates with third party controllers, DCS, data acquisition systems, and software;
• Modbus connectivity standard with DeviceNet and Profibus available; and
• Diagnostic capabilities detect leaks, plugged lines, pressure problems, and hardware errors.

The LevelCom 100 uses pulsed bubbler depth sensing technology, which resolves many of the problems long associated with continuous flow bubblers and reduces compressed air consumption. In addition to electrical power, the unit requires a source of clean, dry compressed air to operate.

The application requires a vented tank and the liquid must be able to tolerate air injection. Typical applications include ballast control, fuel oil, wastewater, potable water, viscous fluids, slurries, and foaming liquids.
