FB Series of temperature/process controllers from RKC Instrument is suited for end-user and OEM applications and a range of industries including heat-related processes, plastics, and packaging.

FB Series temperature/process controllers from RKC Instrument have an accuracy of 0.1%. Operator can choose from autotuning, advanced autotuning, or the company's advanced Brilliant II autotuning feature, which allows selectable PID control. Start-up tuning feature calculates optimum PID values. Sampling time can also be selected as 50, 100, or 250 ms, depending on the application.

Series has universal input, up to 7 digital inputs, 4 digital outputs, and 2 communications ports so that one port can be dedicated to intercontroller communication. Remote setpoint input and a multi-memory area are standard. As many as 8 sets of parameters can be stored in the multi-memory area and may be set through front key operation, DI (digital input), or other communications. Multi-memory area may be used to create up to 16 segments of ramp/soak control.

Controllers are available as 1/4 DIN or 1/8 DIN x 60 mm deep panel saving short case with NEMA 4X and IP66 waterproof and dustproof protection. The 5-digit display is 20 mm high. Front panel also has a settable bar-graph display. Options include up to 4 event alarms, heater break alarm, analog retransmission output, power feed forward function, and feedback resistance. Series is suitable for end-users and the OEM market and for a wide range of industries including heat-related processes, plastics, and packaging.
