Beaverton, Ore. and Poway, Calif. - TenAsys and Annasoft announced an agreement in which they will work together to provide a combination of deterministic, hard real-time control with Microsoft Windows operating systems.

TenAsys produces a product for enabling real-time capabilities using Microsoft operating systems and Annasoft provides embedded Windows licensing and related services in the Americas and South Pacific Region. Under this agreement they will cross refer customers and make joint sales calls to companies in need of real time capabilities.

Tracy Rees, vp sales and marketing at Annasoft, stated, 'We have received numerous requests for real-time capabilities, and we found TenAsys to be the best solution available. Their architecture is the key advantage in the method they deliver hard real-time control. Separate hardware tasks isolate and protect the kernel and real-time applications from the operating system and associated processes providing guaranteed determinism.'

TenAsys recently launched its latest release of INtime software at the Windows Embedded Developers Conference. INtime version 2.12 coincides with Microsoft's release of Windows XP Embedded. By using INtime software, users can leverage Windows standard features and off-the-shelf applications without compromising real-time control.

Kim Hartman, director of sales and marketing at TenAsys, added, 'Annasoft has the best reputation in the industry for expertise in Microsoft operating systems for embedded and dedicated systems. As the leading provider of Microsoft's embedded operating systems they will provide us with a much broader exposure to potential customers.'
