OptimizeIt transforms design optimization into a faster, more effective, and efficient process. Part of the newly released Coolit v5.55 thermal and flow simulation software, this package can be used for assessing a system’s sensitivity to design variations and for optimizing a design. Users define design variables ied and objectives. Once the problem is defined, Coolit automatically sets up and solves the cases and reports computed results, identifying the best design. Other features include the ability to enter component positions and other quantities as an arithmetic function rather than a number; solver algorithm advancements improve convergence speed for certain classes of problems by an order of magnitude.
