RoboGauge tool set from Orus3D creates or transforms an industrial robot into an in-line coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Designed to provide real-time high-accuracy 3D data for inspection of critical dimensions or optimal quality control in almost any manufacturing process or production line, RoboGauge features a Skeye 6M 3D laser scanning head; an RT-series vision controller; and Fly, a high-performance, 3D data acquisition and 3D processing library for creating acquisition sequences and automated inspections. Mounted on the end of an industrial robot or multi-axis system, it scans parts and converts data using proprietary optimized algorithms that produce an accurate, repeatable representation of the surface to be inspected. A part-specific inspection scheme can be performed for quality control on the data channeled at a rate up to 6 million points per sec.
