Two-axis accelerometer on a chip

Norwood, Mass.— ADXL202 is a complete two-axis accelerometer with a digital output on a single monolithic IC chip, designed to interface with a number of low-cost microcontrollers available from many manufacturers. Outputs are duty cycle modulated signals whose cycles (ratio of pulse width to period) are proportional to the acceleration in each of the two sensitive axes.

These outputs can be measured directly with a microcontroller counter. No analog-to-digital converter or glue logic is required. Analog Devices
