PV500 ultra high-speed gray scale vision system from Panasonic Electric Works Corp. of America uses the company’s “4+1” penta processor configuration to achieve 0.4 ms processing time for full-screen gray-scale windows. This Panasonic Electric Works machine vision system uses triple buffer technology for online adjustment; pipeline (parallel) processing maximizes production, and is able to process 500 pps using the company’s Quad speed cameras. Model PV500 can handle up to 4 cameras that can be triggered independently to correct any mechanical displacements. It can display images clearly for 2 MP cameras with high resolution using any XGA compatible screen. A variety of pre-processing filters ensures high-precision inspection with simple setting operations.
