KSONIK Micro from K-Tek Corp. is a compact, ultrasonic level transmitter/switch for liquid and bulk solids level applications. It features Variable GAP technology that allows the instrument to work in the presence of dust, vapor, or foam. The technology provides the narrowest beam angle in the industry, less than four degrees, for accurate measurements in narrow vessels. An electronic filter removes ambient noise. Integrated KSCOPE display provides detailed data and trends, including echo profiles. The adjustable threshold means level measurements can be made even with H-beams present in a silo. KSONIK Micro measures liquid levels to 32.8 feet (10 m) and bulk solids to 16 feet (5 m). Blanking distances have been shortened to less than 1 ft. A 4-20mA output is standard for remote indication or remote control. A single pole-double throw (SPDT) relay can be used to activate alarms and pumps. The transducer uses PVDF wetted parts for corrosive environments.
