Ultrasonic prox has 2-in. deadband


Dayton, O. -Superprox 30-mm ultrasonic proximity sensors offer small size, mounting convenience, and configurability for on/off detection. Deadbands of 51 mm (2 in.) and 120 mm (4.7 in.) combine with the size to provide efficient proximity detection within sensing ranges up to 1 m (39 in.) and 2 m (79 in.), respectively. A pushbutton in used to set a standard sensing window of 13 mm (0.5 in.) anywhere within the sensing range; however the sensor can be configured for default windows ranging from 51 mm to as small as 5.08 mm. Configuration selections include: Normally Open or Closed NPN and PNP output; Complementary Normally Open and Closed NPN output; and Complementary Normally open and Closed PNP output. Response times range from 2.5 sec. to as fast as one duty cycle or 15 to 20 msec.
