Thomas & Betts introduced the Cyberex Cyberwave Industrial, a three-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with topology that separates the rectifier and charger, enabling the inverter to operate at greater efficiency and provide better control of the UPS output. The inverter tolerates high overloads because an insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT)-based pulse width modulation design enables efficient and rapid switching. The product features operation to an ambient temperature of 122 F with only 10% power derating. Service life is improved by charging technology, and several different battery bus voltages can be specified.
