Unmanaged industrial Ethernet switches
The series of unmanaged industrial Ethernet switches is available in a 5-port, 8-port and 10-port configurations. Auto-MDI/MDI-X eliminates the need to use crossover cables for inter-switch connections and auto-negotiation provides optimum link configurations.
The first three members of the EKI series compact and rugged unmanaged industrial Ethernet switches are available in a 5-port (EKI-2525), 8-port (EKI-2528) and a 10-port (EKI-7629C) configurations with gigabit Ethernet capabilities and modular fiber optic cable connections. The switch series features compact and thin DIN rail mount package; dual 12-48-Vdc power inputs; 4,000-Vdc Ethernet ESD protection; 3,000 Vdc power-line surge protection; and an operating temperature range of -10-60 degrees C.
With auto-MDI/MDI-X, there is no need to use crossover cables for inter-switch connections and auto-negotiation provides optimum link configurations. Each Ethernet port is equipped with two front-facing LED indicators that provide link status, transmission speed, activity and collision status to aid in diagnosing cabling and attached device issues. A built-in fault relay is available to signal an external controller or PLC.
Available in several models to meet various application requirements, the EKI-2525 is equipped with five 10/100Base-TX Ethernet ports; the EKI-2528 has eight; and the EKI-7629C has ten consisting of eight 10/100Base-TX and two 1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet ports. These gigabit ports feature both copper (RJ-45) ports and small form-factor pluggable (SFP, also known as mini-GBIC) sockets giving users the power and flexibility to install SFP modules based on their application requirements.
