Pulsar M uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs) from Eaton Corp. reportedly maximize energy efficiency and minimize excess heat when installed in a network rack. According to the company, the unit is the first on-line double-conversion UPS in its class with an adaptable, multi-position, hot-swappable power distribution unit (FlexPDU) for adding receptacles to the back, side, or top of the UPS. Optional universal HotSwap maintenance bypass modules allow the UPS to be replaced, serviced, or upgraded without interrupting the supply of power. The 2200 and 3000 VA models feature multiple form factors, including rack or tower with a choice of depth sizes: from 3.5-in. high for deep racks to 5.25-in. short-depth units for shallow telecom racks/enclosures. The units are sold under the MGE Office Protection Systems brand. www.eaton.com Eaton Corp .
