The resurgence of U.S. manufacturing, including the rise of U.S. exports and "reshoring" jobs and business back to the U.S. from overseas is a hot topic today. See these ideas at work at the NTMA Contract Manufacturing Purchasing Fair. This premier event connects domestic and foreign original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with highly competitive and skilled domestic manufacturers who can provide more economical sources for precision components and tooling.
With domestic and international buyers from around the world in attendance, the fair offers a unique opportunity for small- and medium-sized manufacturers to connect with new markets and customers. For OEMs, the fair helps establish and create stronger supply chains that allow for greater flexibility in sourcing manufactured products. The fair will be held at the Intercontinental Chicago O'Hare Airport Hotel in Chicago, Ill. on Sept. 7-8, 2011.
NTMA has held national purchasing fairs for more than 25 years. Over 10,000 major customers have participated, resulting in the placement of millions of dollars’ worth of work to attendees. This is an event for domestic job shops to secure work from both domestic and international OEMs.
The Chicago event will bring contract shops together with over 100 buyers and engineers from leading OEMs, representing the aerospace, medical device, automotive sectors and more.
Interested in manufacturing success stories? Senior executives from companies that succeeded in securing business at previous fairs and NTMA spokespersons are available for interviews.
The fair is presented by the National Tooling and Machining Association in partnership with the Precision Metalforming Association, the Canadian Tooling and Machining Association, and the Tooling and Manufacturing Association.
