Fieldview Digital Valve Controller (DVC) from Fisher Controls International (Marshalltown, Ia.) recently became the first device with the PID function block to achieve FOUNDATION Fieldbus certification after it completed a rigorous registration process including stack conformance and interoperability testing.
Marshalltown, Ia. — Fieldview Digital Valve Controller (DVC) from Fisher Controls International (Marshalltown, Ia.) recently became the first device with the PID function block to achieve FOUNDATION Fieldbus certification after it completed a rigorous registration process including stack conformance and interoperability testing.
Tests were performed at the Fieldbus Foundation’s independent lab in Austin, Tex. The organization’s test system is designed to determine the best devices for specific applications or control functions, regardless of manufacturer.
