Bailey-Fischer & Porter, a manufacturer of variable area (VA) flowmeters, will soon begin a custom manufacturing programs for OEMs. "We have the expertise and capabilities to take our standard glass tube variable area flowmeters and customize everything from length, materials of construction, and end connections to produce a complete specialty meter for a customer," says John Scheer, senior product manager for the firm's VA flowmeter line.

A unit of Elsag Bailey Process Automation, Bailey-Fischer & Porter can customize its products to meet the special needs of a wide range of OEMs, including gas analyzer manufacturers, sampling system manufacturers, medical equipment flowmeter manufacturers, custom panel shops, "instant" photo processing manufacturers, as well as manufacturers of heat treating furnaces and environmental chambers. Glass tube variable area flowmeters are known for very low flow rate measurements while being inexpensive, reliable, long lasting, and resistant to a wide range of chemicals.
