Verticore Technologies acquires rights to intellectual property from Shell Oil

Salt Lake City, Utah - Verticore Technologies Inc. announced December 17, 2001 that it has signed an agreement with Shell Oil Co. to acquire the Shell Manufacturing Management System (MMS) software.


Salt Lake City, Utah - Verticore Technologies Inc. announced December 17, 2001 that it has signed an agreement with Shell Oil Co. to acquire the Shell Manufacturing Management System (MMS) software. MMS is a suite of software applications designed to create operational excellence in the core activities of manufacturing operations and maintenance.

'Verticore is now incorporating the Shell intellectual property into our Verticore Productivity Solution (VPS) Web-based architecture to expand our holistic approach to delivering Operational Effectiveness within virtually any manufacturing facility,' said Michael Slatter, Verticore founder and ceo. 'We are pleased that this agreement allows Verticore to incorporate the product of decades of operating experience into VPS.'

VPS accomplishes the needed steps of connecting, aligning, and dynamically managing the work processes within an organization to help employees make products more effectively. Through a personalized portal interface or wireless handheld device, each employee is connected to the information, services, and applications they need to accomplish the right work. Verticore's Scorecard helps align each employee's priorities with key success factors, and then helps them track their path towards accomplishment. Once employees are aligned in their efforts, work processes are dynamically managed in a way that reflects established best practices. Required work processes are delivered to the desktop of the right person, at the right time, and with the right tools to accomplish the needed work.
