Perpetuum’s Wireless Sensor Node Assessment Kit (wSNAK) is a deployable demonstration system designed to show original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and end users how vibration energy harvesting technology can be used for wireless condition monitoring. The kit (see photo) is designed to deliver quick, easy and low cost wireless installation and retrofits , the company says, and applications include wireless condition monitoring, asset management, plant safety systems, and wireless instrumentation. The wireless sensor nodes are also available separately for integration with an OEM’s own system, and can be adapted for other parameters such as pressure or flow.
