DataCore Software , a specialist in storage virtualization software, reports a new relationship whereby Promark Technology will distribute DataCore’s open-platform solutions.
DataCore software removes physical, geographic, and device-specific restrictions of data storage equipment that frequently slow down, interrupt, or endanger computer operations—making it practical for organizations of any size to get the fullest utilization, highest availability, and fastest performance from their disk storage assets by consolidating and automating essential data protection measures and storage management practices.
Says Todd Hartung, VP, Promark Technology, “DataCore’s storage virtualization software gives our partners a huge benefit: an affordable but fully scalable auto-failover/failback business continuity and SAN storage management solution that isn’t tied to any particular hardware. That gives our partners the opportunity to select hardware that really matches the budget, needs, and preferences of their customers.”
DataCore Software is certified on all the major virtual server platforms—e.g.,VMware, Microsoft, and Citrix—and supports both iSCSI and Fibre Channel connections. As a result, DataCore comprises a persistent solution that survives hardware obsolescence.
According to James E. Price III, a DataCore company VP, “Promark is a recognized storage specialist and a trusted advisor to its channel partners. We believe Promark will be very successful in bringing DataCore solutions to many new VARs, including those who tend to be more hardware-centric.”
