In-Sight 4000 Series vision sensors from Cognex are up to five times faster than previous models, and now have the ability to read and verify Reduced Space Symbology codes on pharmaceutical packages. Dual processors enable simultaneous, dedicated vision processing and network communications. Integrated camera and processor display functions, as well as configuration, are performed by a PC via Ethernet or via an In-Sight 3000. In-Sight Explorer software simplifies the five steps of the vision development lifecycle, which include:

Connect: Step-by-step wizards facilitate connection of one vision sensor to a PC, or the connection of multiple vision sensors to an industrial network.

Configure: In-Sight Explorer enhances the In-Sight spreadsheet with standard Microsoft Windows functionality, such as shortcuts, a new tool palette, image zooming and panning, and integrated context-sensitive help.

Operate: Flexible and customizable user interfaces can be created and independently password-protected for multiple sensors. These interfaces can be simultaneously viewed in one In-Sight Explorer application, greatly enhancing the ease of monitoring a typical production line with multiple vision sensors.

Expand: File utilities allow backup and duplication, and enable rapid addition of vision sensors across new production lines linked by an Ethernet network.

Maintain: Management utilities provide administration tools for maintaining networked vision sensors, including report generation, file management, and firmware updating. www.cognex.com
