Visiprise Inc. —a provider of manufacturing execution systems for the electronics, aerospace and defense, automotive, and medical device industries—has released Visiprise Manufacturing 3.2, which features engineering change management and enhanced labor tracking.

Visiprise Manufacturing 3.2 employs J2EE technology to define, track, and report on real-time information from the shop floor, says Sean McCloskey, president and chief executive officer of Visiprise. McCloskey says this enables users to build upon Six Sigma and lean manufacturing programs.

Enhanced features in Visiprise Manufacturing 3.2 include:

  • Quality Management allows the real-time identification, disposition, and prevention of crucial quality issues on the shop floor.

  • Time-based Traceability offers a deeper capability to automatically configure, validate, and trace component assembly information at the shop floor level for complex product configuration with fewer support personnel.

  • Engineering Change Management streamlines the change order process so an organization can track and manage changes to maintain a higher degree of accuracy and accountability.
