Empire Magnetics' stainless steel AC induction motors are designed for frequent wetting and washdown environments in applications such as food processing, chemical and drug manufacturing, machine tools, paper making and film processing. These stainless steel waterproof motors are available in horsepower ranging from 0.5 to 20 hp and nine frame sizes. Applications include food processing, chemical and drug manufacturing, machine tools, paper making, and film processing. The addition of pressure compensation devices allow the motors to be used deep sea and marine applications such as positioning control surfaces on sub-sea vehicles, actuators on submersible experiments, hydrophone arrays, and hydrofoil flaps. Additional features include an integrated design and solution, integral housing seals, a double-sealed cable entry, and an oil-filled motor.
