Watson-Marlow Bredel to showcase pumps at upcoming PittCon show

Pumps that can be placed anywhere on an instrument are being targeted for display by Watson-Marlow Bredel at the upcoming PittCon show and conference. The 400 FD/A pumps are smaller and less expensive than syringe pumps. They are intended for sample preparation and automated laboratory applications including dispending and collecting samples and reagents. Instrument-quality units feature continuous flow capability and simple plumbing to eliminate the need for valves.

Used in conjunction with the company’s Sta-Pure tubing, the pumps offer long-term flow repeatability and accuracy. Tight dimensional tolerances of the pump and tube give the unit superior performance, allowing the tube to hold accuracy over thousands of hours, says the company.

The pumps will be among many products shown at PittCon 2005 taking place Feb. 27-March 4, 2005, in Orlando, FL. Theme of the show is “Everything Science Under the Sun.” Event will include more than 1,000 exhibitors, along with short courses and an extensive technical program.
