Palo Alto, Calif. -Hewlett-Packard's new Ethernet-ready module can be embedded into a wide range of products to allow them to be remotely monitored and controlled from any Internet browser. The new embedded measurement and control "plug" is designed to accommodate many measurement and automation applications. The matchbook-sized smart module has a 10Base-T interface so it can be connected directly to any Ethernet network around the globe. The Web plug also provides standardized interfaces to measure or control devices used in many industries.
