Wieland expands its pluggable relay system

Burgaw, N.C.—After introducing a pluggable terminal block relay to the industrial and automation controls market several months ago, Wieland Electric Inc. is expanding this series to include its new flareMove series, which offers higher contact current ratings of 16 A, compared to traditional 6 A.

Burgaw, N.C.— After introducing a pluggable terminal block relay to the industrial and automation controls market several months ago, Wieland Electric Inc. is expanding this series to include its new flareMove series, which offers higher contact current ratings of 16 A, compared to traditional 6 A. These new relays are offered in both SPDT and DPDT contact configurations.

A key feature of the flareMove series is that it provides a reverse voltage protection diode on the coil. These relays are ideal for quick plug-and-play connections; provide signal conversions and isolation; and are compact in design, cost efficient and easily installed and replaced.

“flareMove relays are used for signal conversion, isolation, and amplification,” says Marc Immordino, product manager. “Any industrial application uses these type of relays, but primarily they’re used in the automotive, machine build, and food and beverage markets.”

flareMove relays are available in 12 V dc, 12 V ac, 24 V dc, 24 V ac, 115 V ac and 230 V ac. The contact configurations, form ‘C,’ are rated for 250 V ac nominal with the contact current ratings at 8 A, 10 A and 16 A maximum. The relays have a screw clamp base and have built-in dc polarity protection and standard LED indication.
