Courtesy: AdvantechAdvantech EKI-6331AN IEEE 802.11a/n IP55 industrial wireless Access Point/CPE provides three times higher data rates than legacy 802.11a devices and provides a reliable 5GHz wireless connectivity which is a wide, clean band of more non-overlapping channels than 2.4 GHz to avoid communication interference. With 2x2 MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology, the EKI-6331AN provides both larger data rates in transmission and greater reliability in received quality.

The PoE injector enhances flexibility in deployment of the AP/CPE even where the DC power supply is hard to fulfill and with the support of WMM and IGMP snooping protocols, the EKI-6331AN effectively improves the reliability of wireless connectivity. To secure wireless connections, the EKI-6331AN implements the latest encryption technologies including WPA2/WPA/802.1x for powerful security authentication.

The EKI-6331AN and Advantech’s EKI-6311GN, an IEEE 802.11 b/g/n wireless access point/client bridge, could seamlessly work together to provide excellent 11n performance for middle-range backhaul networks and expand wireless coverage. It’s ideal for industrial environments, such as oil field and pipeline monitoring, factory monitoring, logistic automation, crane monitoring, and intelligent transportation systems.
