Smart Transceiver, XE900M, and Base Access Point, XE924M, communication module form a low-cost wireless data collection system for up to 128 discrete nodes located within a 150-ft (indoor) radius. XE900M combines a microcontroller and 900-MHz transceiver, while XE924M includes embedded modem technology, 900-MHz transceiver, and communication controller, reducing cost by eliminating hardware redundancy. Use of up to 126 carrier frequencies (in the 900-MHz ISM band) reduces interference problems by allowing channel changes. Multiple XE924M units operating on different frequencies can extend the distance and number of nodes within a network. A "Sensor-On-Air" function allows XE900M's communication controller to monitor and/or manipulate two analog inputs and four digital I/O lines. www.xecom.com Xecom Inc.
