Saline, Mich. – Xycom Automation, Inc. , a subsidiary of Pro-face America, Inc., announces updated GP-PRO/PBIII C-Package01 for Windows screen development software.

GP-PRO/PBIII C-Package01 supports the Pro-face Brand GP2000 and GLC2000 series products by combining Human Machine Interface (HMI) and ladder logic control in one package with one database, which allows users the ability to develop screens for their entire line of HMI and control products. Windows supported fonts, a new 256 color library, multiple language support at runtime (up to 16), and screen captures saved to CompactFlash in JPEG format are just a few of the few features available with this updated package. Also included is Pro-Control, an IEC 61131-3 compatible ladder logic editor for the GLC product line. Pro-Control supports 50 ladder logic instructions and drag-and-drop between HMI and logic editors. With the combination of the HMI and logic editors, only one download is needed to send both screens and control logic to the GLC.

Pro-Server with Pro-Studio (version 4.0) allows users to build data collection systems. This software combination supports data transfer using DDE, DLL, ADO, OPC, or SQL application interfaces for open connectivity and customizability. Messages can be transferred via email to a PC, cellphone, text pager, or PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants). Applications can be launched on a remote PC from the HMI, and communication between multiple GPs, GLCs, and remote PCs via Ethernet can be configured.

GP-Web (version 1.5) monitors GP2000 or GLC2000 series operator interfaces from a remote PC via the Internet/Intranet. There is no need for special programming since the operation is fully menu driven. This feature allows users to see the production site from virtually anywhere in the world.

GP-Viewer supports a data playback feature to check previously recorded production data and visually trace the source of hard-to-find problems. Visually rewind and playback screen changes as easily as you would a VCR.

“With these updated software versions OEMs and end customers will find easy solutions to their difficult problems,” says Scott Kortier, product manager, GP/GLC Products.
