Xycom Automation launches ”new generation” of industrial PCs

Saline, MI – Xycom Automation , a subsidiary of Pro-face America Inc., has released the 3612T compact, flat panel computer.

The product directly replaces the current 3510T (10-in.) and 3512T (12-in.) offerings at a lower price than the current 10-in. product. The unit features a 12.1-inch SVGA flat panel LCD and analog resistive touchscreen, Celeron 850 MHz CPU, 128 MB RAM, 20GB Hard drive, and standard CDROM and floppy. Options include a choice of Intel Pentium III 1.0 and 1.26 GHz processors, and DRAM options up to 512 MB. Connectivity features include 10/100 BaseT Ethernet, USB port, parallel port, two serial ports, and PS/2 keyboard/mouse port. Expansion capabilities include up to three three-quarter-length and one half-length PCI and ISA cards. An externally accessible Type I or II CompactFlash site or remote drive bay option is also available. Physical package is 11.20- (H) x 13.20- (W) x 7.36-in. (D).

It meets or exceeds all the specifications that have made our current line one of the world’s best selling NEMA-mounted PCs for factory automation.”

The product carries the European CE mark and includes UL and cUL agency approvals. It is also approved for Class I & Class II, Division 2 Hazardous Locations. It can operate in 0 °C to 50 °C environments without additional cooling, and can be purchased with Microsoft MS-DOS, Windows 98, Windows NT, or Windows 2000 (multi-language) preloaded and configured.
