Linkoping, Sweden – IVP Ranger, high speed 3D machine vision camera, can acquire up to 10,000 3D profiles per second, opening inline inspection applications for solderpaste, component, and connector insertion. Images are sent to a PC via twisted pair, 330 Mbit/s Cypress Semiconductor HOTLink. IVP Ranger is designed for OEM’s who want full control of the complete application. Its C-API in the Windows PC gives the programmer freedom to develop optimal solutions. On top of that, the camera itself has a C-API where experts can implement their own algorithms running on its Intel StrongArm processor.
