cATM module from Online Development installs in a Rockwell ControlLogix PAC chassis and communicates with PLCs from Siemens, Schneider, others.
Knoxville, TN – New cATM High-Performance appliance transaction modules from Online Development make it easier to connect various types and brands of PLCs by eliminating the need to program message instructions between them. The cATM appliance features a browser-driven setup utility that automatically recognizes all controller tags or registers. An interface within the utility enables dragging and dropping tag or register data from one controller screen to another. The utility also validates tag/register transactions between controllers.
The unit installs in a Rockwell Automation ControlLogix PAC chassis and communicates with installed Allen-Bradley PLCs including CompactLogix, SLC 500, PLC-5, MicroLogix and FlexLogix. It also communicates with other PLCs including Siemens S7 and Schneider Modicon Quantum. It is compatible with the following Allen-Bradley data bridges: EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DH485 and DH+. Data bridge support is Ethernet TCP/IP for Siemens and Ethernet Modbus/TCP for Schneider Modicon.
The cATM High-Performance appliance is said to be optimized to provide faster data exchange rates than OPC-based solutions for critical data exchange applications. For less critical applications, Online Development offers cATM Universal Gateway appliances that offer over 100 OPC drivers for various types and brands of controllers.
