24-axis positioning stage

Santa Clara, Calif.— A 24-axis linear-motor driven positioning stage that provides independent motion along all 24 axes has been introduced by Northern Magnetics. This positioning stage provides rapid acceleration and deceleration for high-productivity applications. It features heavy-duty construction with lightweight moving parts for higher acceleration. By centering the linear motor and encoder between two parallel rails, Abbe error is minimized. A total of four bearings support the payload, moving coil, and encoder head. An enclosed or open linear glass scale is available.
