3D line scan cameras for machine vision quality control
The Chromasens 3DPixa 3D line scan color camera is designed to improve productivity by preventing defects and reducing waste in industries, such as the pharmaceutical, food products, automotive, and electronics industries.
The Chromasens 3DPixa 3D line scan color camera is designed to improve productivity by preventing defects, reducing waste, and increasing yield while achieving compliance with traceability requirements. It is designed to inspect items in industries such as pharmaceutical and food products as well as the automotive and electronics industries.
The 3DPixa employs factory-calibrated stereo engineering and can simultaneously captures two images of the same object to output both color images and 3D altitude data in real time. Height and shape are calculated using special algorithms running on GPU (grapical processing unit) designs including the NVidia GTX Titan. It has an optical resolution of 10 µm and a height resolution of up to one micrometer and the camera enables 3D inspection at high speeds.
Chromasens 3DPixa cameras are available in two different designs: a compact system with a resolution of 15µm / 30 µm and a line frequency of up to 21.2 kHz; and the 3DPixa dual system with a resolution of e.g. 10µm and a line frequency of up to 50kHz, which is designed for higher resolutions or inspection speeds. The dual system can also inspect at speeds of up to 500 mm/s at 10 µm optical resolution.
