Traditional stand-alone stepper motor controllers offer a fixed number of general purpose I/O connections (no more than 8 points) and have little or no fieldbus connectivity. Wago 750 Series SMC modules are integrated into the I/O node and are compatible with more than 200 digital, analog, and special-function (serial, counter, sub-networks, etc.) I/O modules, up to 255 I/O modules per node (each module is 2, 4, or 8 points). For use with common industrial network protocols, it has 12-mm wide housing (said to be the smallest), quick implementation of common stepper functions with an IEC 61131 function blocks library, adjustable acceleration profiles, and support for common stepper operating modes. www.wago.us
